Biography

I have played the drums and piano for over 25 years and have worked as a session musician and tutor since graduating from the university of Bristol in 2006 (BA Music: 2.1).

I have a wealth of experience playing with dozens of bands of all different styles, as well as function bands and tribute acts.

I have also played in a West End production of Grease and been involved in many recording projects.

I have continued to study classical piano and popular song since leaving university. I also enjoy: playing by ear, transcription, improvisation, writing music and using Logic.

I have taught pupils of all ages from 5 to 84 and all abilities from beginner to Grade 8.

I have experience of teaching privately and in schools as well as being involved in youth work programmes.

I have prepared pupils for entry into music colleges such as BIMM and the Brit School, including some who have gone on to enjoy success with their own bands playing major festivals and tours in Europe and America.
